Fall Festival Countdown!

Deadline for entertainment and booth participants extended to Wednesday, September 23!
Loans of coolers, tents and pop-ups are still needed!

Only Two Weeks Away!

Mark your calendar: Friday, October 2, 4:00-8:00 pm (rain date is October 23). You're all invited! Bring your friends and family to school for one of the most exciting Maggie Walker events of the year: The THIRTEENTH ANNUAL MLWGS FALL FESTIVAL; A GLOBAL CELEBRATION sponsored by our very own PTSA. Please join us for delectable food and treats with an international flair (paella and tapas, Asian fare, snow cones, pizza, bratwurst and crepes, and more), spectacular music and entertainment (including the much anticipated return of Maggie Walker's own Faculty Lounge Lizards), and lots of fun crafts and games (Chess Challenge, DDR, Guitar Hero, the Cake Walk and others) while you mingle with old friends and make new ones! Best of all, you’ll be supporting over 60 clubs and organizations offered at MLWGS!

We can't do it without you! Why not volunteer and make your experience more memorable? Email Cathy Hermes at cathyhermes@comcast.net or call 530-1063 to find out how you can help with the event. It’s a great chance to meet other parents and have fun working together. Volunteers are needed for coordination, setup, drink sales, decorations, and especially take-down / cleanup.

The Fall Festival Committee is also seeking (students are encouraged to apply):
  • Experienced Master of Ceremonies / DJ
  • Audio / Sound Technicians
Do you still have one of those Fall Festival forms? For the talented MLWGS students, faculty and alumni who have not submitted their Entertainment Participation Forms yet, we are still accepting them through this Wednesday, September 23. Talented musicians and singers, bands, dancers, comedians, and other creative performers are welcome. Forms are available at the Fall Festival Kiosk in the Bluestone Lobby, and may be returned there in the designated slot.

Fall Festival Booth Participation Forms are still being accepted as well, but clubs risk losing rights to last year’s activities now that the deadline has passed. Return these forms in the slot at the Fall Festival Kiosk in the Bluestone Lobby, or Faculty Sponsors may put them in the designated box near their mailboxes. For your convenience, blank forms are available at the kiosk.
