MLWGS PTSA Volunteers Help Kick Off the New School Year

Many hands make light work, and that was demonstrated again during this busy week leading up to the opening of the 2009-2010 school year.  The PTSA was especially fortunate to have the helpful hands of the cheerful volunteers who led the PTSA’s efforts in these activities:

Back to School Packets were carefully organized, printed, copied, assembled, and finally distributed on September 1st and 2nd by a hard-working team led by Kathy Dean.

The Community Service Fair, which helps our students connect directly with volunteer organizations, presented an array of potential service opportunities.  Alice Condro coordinated this valuable event for our school on September 1st.

On September 4th, faculty, administration, and staff were most appreciative of the pizza and salad luncheon provided by the PTSA.  Michelle Nestler, Martha Young, and Sara Hillgrove planned this event and captained a committed crew who setup,  served, and cleaned up on the Friday of this Labor Day holiday weekend.

Continuing kudos go to the dedicated Smoke and Scales publication team who work tirelessly to gather and present the most current information in a useful, attractive format for our school community.  Thanks again to Jen Chambers, Wendy Shannon, Roxanne Sawchak, and Lisa Crutchfield-Barth for keeping us well informed.
