MLWGS nominates one student each year as a candidate for admission to the Summer French Governor’s Academy. This program, free to those accepted after the competitive application process conducted at the state level, is a residential immersion experience that takes place right here in Richmond on the VCU campus from the third week of June through the second week of July. Applicants must be a rising junior or a rising senior. The student must have completed at least French Level 3 and be planning on continuing. If interested in applying or just want more information, please contact Dr. McLees (firstname.lastname@example.org) or stop by her room 238. Participation in the summer French Academy is an excellent college application entry since only 60 people from all over the state are accepted each year. Don’t miss your chance to set yourself apart–all the while having fun speaking and living French!
