It’s close to the time for the Winter Phonathon in support of the Annual Fund Campaign, and we will need many volunteers to make it a success. The goal of this phonathon is to reach out to current parents, and we are hoping to improve upon the 50% participation rate achieved last year.
The phonathon will run from Monday, February 8 through Thursday, February 11, and all calls are made from here at Maggie Walker. There are three roles for volunteers to play:
• Callers—We will need 10 callers each night from 6 to 9 PM. From 6 to 7 PM, callers will receive dinner and training, and the calls will be made from 7 to 9 PM.
• Team Captain—Each night will have one team leader whose responsibility is to recruit volunteers for his/her night. The captain will also be a caller.
• Team Chef—Each night’s “chef” is responsible for bringing food to feed that night’s callers. (Casseroles and Crock-pot dishes have worked well in the past.) The cost of the meal will be reimbursed by the Foundation when receipts are turned in. The chef will also be a caller.
