Winner of Modern Art Writing Contest
Ben Kenzer, senior, won the writing contest on Modern Art that required students to describe how a piece of art from western Europe reflects the unconventional and experimental thinking of modern times. Ben was able to view Antony Gormley’s contemporary sculpture Angel of North firsthand when he visited England. In his essay he describes the piece as a “simple and silent beacon.”
Caitlin Lane won first place, and Hailey Lane received an honorable mention, respectively.
