ACTR National Russian Essay Contest Medalists

Please join me in congratulating the MLWGS students who earned awards in November’s National Russian Essay Contest, conducted by the American Council of Teachers of Russian. About 1,500 Russian students take part in this annual national contest. Our students are doing a wonderful job in mastering a challenging language. Those listed below received commemorative certificates and real medals featuring the profile of Russian’s Hall-of-Fame poet, Aleksandr Pushkin. If you see these students, congratulate them and consider naming your next-born (or already-born) children after them. Many will be parlaying this achievement into greater success in academics, cinema, politics, or reality-television programming.

Congratulations to all!
