The Night of the Dragon, March 6, 2010 was a total success with the most attendees we have had in years, as well as donations. Everyone enjoyed themselves and bid their hearts out. All night long, we heard “It’s for the kids” and that could not be a truer statement! We raised over sixty thousand and the final tally will be available in the next few weeks. We are ecstatic and thrilled about that amount in this economy.
I would like to thank my auction co-chairs: Dave Henderson, Terri Clifton, and Julie Weissend. Other volunteers include Julie May, Amy Goodridge, Melissa Shaw, Margie Swart, David May, Beverly Cline, Judi Anderson, Karen Kasprzak, Kathie Spraggins, Chip Spraggins, Robin Muth and Bill Muth, Ellen Walk and John Walk, Patty Nicholas and Ned Nicholas, Tommy Nicholas, Alice Condro, Bart Mebane, Roxanne Sawchak, Julie Copeland, Debbie Beam, Eva Boegner, Faith Bohnke, Kim McGaughey, Trish Sigler, Fran Withrow, Julie Fuentes, Diann Liptak, Laura Carr, Karen Redford, Bob Cervarich, Nancy Tynes, Carla and Reggie Quick, Virginia Muse, Sharon Gizzi, Denise Hennig, Kristina Monan, and Marybeth Grinnan, Louise Woodburn, Karen Steele, Wendy Shannon, Sarah Clifton, Brie Cifu, Olivia Bauman, William Redford, Oliver Goodridge, and Ryan Akens . Another huge thank you goes out to the folks who volunteered their time the night of to help sell drink tickets, checking people in, closing tables, runners, decorations, check out helpers, heads and tails raffles, set up and clean up, etc, and especially the student musicians, and student chorus as well as their teachers and The Lounge Lizards.
