Community Service: August 27 Eagle Scout Project

Mikey Valacer, a rising sophomore at Maggie Walker from the Atlee working on an Eagle Scout project and can use support from the Dragon community.  He is collecting school supplies and organizing volunteers for CrossOver Ministry’s Back-to-School: Community Immunity Day, scheduled for Friday, August 27 from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. During this annual event, CrossOver, a local free clinic, will provide back-to-school physicals and immunizations to disadvantaged children in the Richmond area.

Volunteers are needed to help direct children to various places in the clinic, filing documents, and conducting other administrative tasks. This is an opportunity to earn at least eight (8) community service hours.   If you would like to help, please contact Mike Valacer at 550-9433(H) or 517-6405(C). Transportation is available if you need a ride that day.
