MW Students Attend Princeton Model Congress

Fourteen students from Maggie Walker's Model Congress Club attended the Princeton Model Congress 2010 held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Washington, DC from November 18-21.  The Princeton Model Congress hosted approximately 1,000 students from high schools across the country. The keynote speaker was Mike McCurry, White House Press Secretary for President Bill Clinton.

Maggie Walker students who won honors at the Princeton Model Congress were:
J.R. Roach '11, selected as Secretary of Defense in the Cabinet,
Charles Condro '11, awarded Best Delegate Gavel in his committee,
Rosa Waters '11, Leon Hu '11, Christopher Benos '14, who were awarded Honorable Mention Certificates in their committees.

While at the conference, the MLWGS students were joined for lunch by MLWGS Alumnus, Dale Swartz '08. He talked to them about his job at the American Enterprise Institute.
