University of Richmond's Camp Kesem will be hosting a charity concert featuring Flo Rida on Friday, April 8.
Camp Kesem is a student-run and student-fundraised organization for kids whose parents have cancer. Each year, UR students volunteer as camp counselors at this week long overnight camp at Westview on the James in Goochland. This camp is completely based off of donations and fundraising to ensure that there is no financial burden for the families. This camp aims to give these kids a week to step away from the stresses of cancer, meet others who are going through the same situation, and above all learn to be a kid again. All of the proceeds from this concert will go to support Camp Kesem.
Q94 Radio State and Camp Kesem UR have teamed up to bring Flo Rida to the University of Richmond. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?organ_val=3448&pid=6980619.
Flo Rida will be performing his popular songs such as "The Club Can't Handle Me," "Who Dat Girl," "Right Round," "Hand in the Ayer," and his popular "Low." There is currently a battle of the bands competition that will be picked to open for Flo Rida. If any bands from MLWGS are interested in competing to open for Flo Rida, email Sarahlynn.email@example.com.
If anyone has any questions or concerns, please feel free to e-mail me, Sarah Huang ('09), at Sarahlynn.firstname.lastname@example.org. I would love for my MLWGS family to support my UR family! Thank you all so much!
