Raise Money, Swim, Have Fun, and Get Community Service Hours

The Junior Service Committee is working with the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) to host a Swim For MS event on Sunday, April 10 from 10:30 am -1:30 pm. (note: this is a change to avoid conflict with spring break) that will raise money to help those with multiple sclerosis (MS). MS is a common neurological disorder diagnosed in young adults that causes loss of bodily functions. It is a progressive disease that only worsens over time.

Please help Team MW, representing humanity, combat this deadly opponent! Our event will need sponsors to donate the tools with which to fight, specifically food, prizes, and/or money for the Swim For MS event. Our event will also need swimmers to swim in the event! If you would like to swim, please email ksheppard@gsgis.k12.va.us for packets that will be distributed with all the information. All swimmers will receive community service hours for participating.

If you have any questions or would like to make a contribution, please visit http://support.msassociation.org/goto/mlwgs or contact Ms. Kerry Sheppard, our class sponsor, at ksheppard@gsgis.k12.va.us as soon as possible. Support our dragons! We would really appreciate it, and so would MSAA and all the victims of MS.
