MW English Teacher Wins Award

Here's a recent article from the Chesterfield Observer about MLWGS English teacher Lisa Williams:

"Lisa Brodie Williams of Midlothian received the second highest award from Longwood University’s Alumni Association. The award is given to alumni who have 'distinguished themselves as significant contributors to their profession, who stand above their peers and who are recognized within their profession as leaders and role models for future generations of citizen leaders.' Williams is in her third year of teaching at Maggie Walker Governor’s School. She previously taught for 12 years at Clover Hill High School. The first member of her family to graduate from college, she is pursuing a master of fine arts in creative writing at Virginia Commonwealth University and has published two novels, “Plight and Passion” and “Flight of Phoenix.” Longwood President Patrick Finnegan presented the award to Williams."
