“Evening of” Volunteers Needed for the Night of the Dragon

Thank you to all who have volunteered to help with our tenth annual Maggie Walker “Night of the Dragon” auction event to be held at the Science Museum of Virginia on Saturday, March 3.

We still have a few open slots for volunteers in the evening. We especially need cashiers. Cashiers work from about 9:30 to 10:30 pm accepting payments from winning bidders. If you are not planning to attend the auction but would like to volunteer for this position, you may come at 9:15 pm and will not need to purchase a ticket.

We also need a small group of five student volunteers to help with breakdown. This job typically involves many trips to the parking lot to load cars with auction supplies. The time slot for cleanup duty is 10:30 to 11:45 pm. Community service hours are available for helping with this task.

To volunteer, please visit our volunteer website at Signup Genius to view open slots and sign up. Students and adults are welcome to help!
Student volunteers do not need tickets, but adult volunteers (with the exception of cashiers) who work the evening of the event are requested to purchase tickets. Many volunteer slots are just 30 minutes, allowing plenty of time to enjoy the fun!
