New MLWGS Director Jeff McGee to Start August 2012

New MLWGS Director Jeff McGee
The new MLWGS Director Jeff McGee was introduced to the faculty February 23rd via a Skype connection to Pyeongtaek City, South Korea, where Mr. McGee has served since 2010 as the principal of the Osan Middle School, a member of the Department of Defense Dependents Schools (DoDDS) network.  

Prior to working in Korea, Mr. McGee served as the principal of three middle schools in Chesterfield County: Manchester, Matoaca, and Salem. Both Manchester and Matoaca included center-based gifted programs. Mr. McGee also has administrative experience in Henrico high schools, including Highland Springs and Freeman.

A former member of the U.S. Army, where he was trained as a linguist in Arabic and Urdu, Mr. McGee has a Masters of Education from VCU and a Bachelor of Science in Education from Virginia Tech.

Mr. McGee and his family will return to Richmond this summer, and he will begin as Director of MLWGS in August.  Additional information can be found in the student newspaper, The Jabberwock, which featured the appointment announcement of Mr. McGee in an article
