MLWGS students have a unique opportunity for the next school year (Spring Break 2013) to participate in an eleven-day interdisciplinary trip to Berlin, Prague, and Munich. These cities and additional stopovers in Dresden and Nuremberg will provide the backdrop for learning about the German language and culture with connections made to our English, math, science, history, and music curricula.
Through onsite professional guided tours and the expertise of MLWGS teachers, students will be able to compare the remnants of the past to evidence of rebirth apparent in all of these cities.
The tour will use EF, an accredited international travel company, to provide transportation, accommodations, food, and travel insurance. EF is offering a $150.00 discount, to students who enroll before March 8, 2012. To learn more about the tour please visit the EF website.
For parents and students interested in participating, there will be an informational meeting held in the Forum from 6:00- 7:00 pm, Tuesday, March 6, 2012 to offer more details of the trip.
In order to secure a place on this trip, students are encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible with a check for $95.00 made out to EF Tours.
Please contact Dawn Grois (firstname.lastname@example.org ; 804 901-1825) for any questions prior to the meeting.
