The Richmond District PTA Arts in Education Awards ceremony was held on March 4. The 2011 winners of the PTSA Reflections contest at Richmond District level are:
Photography: Stephen Dwyer(’14) – Award of Excellence
Musical Composition: Pranay Vissa('15) – Outstanding Interpretation Award
Literature: Caitlin Lane('12) – Outstanding Interpretation Award
Dance Choreography: Samantha Mladen('12) - Award of Excellence
The two student entries recognized with Outstanding Interpretation awards advanced to the State Level competition; Caitlin Lane also won at that level.
Also, Richmond district citizenship essay winners were recognized during this event. In the High School Division, Lindsey Brown(’12) got 3rd place for her essay on Community Responsibility.
Reflections program is an annual, nation-wide contest which encourages students on all grade levels to create original work based on a particular theme. This year’s theme was “Diversity Means.”
