Calling All Booths and Entertainers for Fall Festival!

Save the date: Friday, Oct. 5, 4-8 p.m., rain date Oct. 12

One slogan for the MLWGS annual Fall Festival could be, “If you show it, they will come…and spend.” On Oct. 5, the school’s circular drive and greenspace in front of Leigh and Lombardy streets will be filled with booths and entertainment options for the whole family. Now is the time for student groups to plan how they will attract visitors, both showcasing their talents and earning money for their organizations’ endeavors.

Last year, more than 60 groups secured booths at the festival, each offering a unique experience: a cupcake eating contest, moon bounce, French crepes, and bratwurst. Remember, too, that because no duplications are allowed, groups must apply early if they want to be assured of the chance to provide cotton candy or a cake walk – always crowd favorites!

Here’s how to be involved:

Sponsor a booth. For official MLWGS administration-approved clubs or organizations only, with a faculty sponsor. Booths can feature engaging activities or scrumptious food. To reserve a table and activity, faculty sponsors must complete and return the Fall Festival Booth Participation Form (on the Facebook page, by Friday, Sept. 21 to the kiosk in the Bluestone Lobby. Questions? Contact Kristen Vithoulkas, or 804-346-5227, or Susan Akers,
