Last Call for Fall Festival Help

On Friday, the MLWGS Fall Festival takes over the school grounds. Be sure to come early for best parking options (see map) and plan to stay to take in the sights of more than 50 student booths, the sounds of a wide range of entertainment, and the glorious smells of the many tasty treats the festival has to offer.

Festival crews still need help with clean-up at 8:00pm. Students in search of coveted community service hours are welcome to assist. Willing students must check in at the volunteer table by 8:00pm and report there at the end to receive a signed service form.

Also, seniors are welcome to rack up still more community service hours by providing pick-up and delivery services for larger items (generators, hand trucks, tents) being loaned for the festival. Contact Ann Majors,
Ann.Majors@mvdb.virginia.gov to help. Drivers must provide their own van or truck.
Parents who are able to stay after 8:00pm for take-down are asked to e-mail Joanne Kaperick, the volunteer coordinator, at mwgffvolunteers@aol.com. Detailed instructions about the day will come soon via e-mail.

The Festival still needs 10’-by-10’ pop-up tents! To loan a tent, please bring it to the Bluestone Lobby or send an e-mail to mwgffvolunteers@aol.com

Remember: Proceeds from the annual MLWGS Fall Festival go directly to the student groups and organizations that have reserved booths and tables, enabling those groups to fund their activities throughout the year.
