Almost two hundred 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students from the greater Richmond area will experience cultures relating to ten different languages on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 8:30am to 2:00pm at Maggie Walker, and their teachers will be MLWGS students.
“The day was definitely more than just learning just about languages,” said Maggie Walker senior and event coordinator Nicole Belgard. “It’s also learning about the cultures connected to the languages, through music, food, and crafts.”
Over 30 Maggie walker students helped with the event, including running workshops.
The languages included were ASL, Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Latin, Russian, and Spanish.
