Future Leaders Forum for Young Women- Capital One is pleased to offer the ninth Future Leaders Forum for Young Women on Saturday, Mar. 23. This full-day event welcomes 300 young women in grades 9 through 12 to the Richmond campus, where they will participate in activities designed to inspire, encourage and build their leadership skills. Students can see Ms. Davis to pick up an application. The application deadline has been extended to Mar. 15. 

The Summer Institute on Leadership and Public Service is a multiple week program dedicated to teaching leadership skills through a number of classroom and hands-on- settings, including a leadership curriculum, internships, and problem solving exercises all the while focusing on a specific theme relevant to the greater Richmond community. Carleton Liberal Arts Experience (CLAE) is a summer program for students completing their sophomore year of high school. This program is designed for students of African American descent or who have an interest in African American culture. The CLAE program is free of charge. Students can visit go.carleton.edu/CLAE or see Ms. Davis for more information. Application deadline is Apr. 1. 

The Dental Career Exploration Program is offered to 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students who are interested in exploring a career in dentistry. Through hands-on workshops, students will develop skills such as reading comprehension through book discussions and public speaking through practice debates, as well as effective study skills.
