Fall Festival Seeks Sponsors, Entertainers, Volunteers

Save the date: Friday, Oct. 4, 4-8 p.m., rain date Oct. 11
One slogan for MLWGS’ annual Fall Festival could be, “If you show it, they will come…and spend.” On Oct. 4, the school’s circular drive and greenspace fronting Leigh and Lombardy streets will be filled with booths and entertainment options for the whole family. Now is the time for student groups to plan how they will attract visitors, both showcasing their talents and earning money for their organizations’ endeavors.
Last year, more than 60 organizations secured booths at the festival, each offering a unique experience. Remember, too, that because no duplications are allowed, groups must apply early if they want to be assured of the chance to provide cotton candy or a cake walk – always crowd favorites!
Here’s how to be involved:

1) Sponsor a booth. You must be an official MLWGS-administration-approved club or organization and have a faculty sponsor. Booths can feature engaging activities or scrumptious food. To reserve a table and activity, faculty sponsors must complete and return the Fall Festival Booth Participation Form (on our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/mlwgs) by Friday, Sept. 20 to the kiosk in the Bluestone Lobby. Questions? Contact Kristen Vithoulkas, vithpk@gmail.com or (804) 346-5227.

2) Perform on the Fall Festival stage. You can be a student, faculty member, even an alum! We want dancers, singers, comedians…entertainers of all stripes! Find an application on our Facebook page (www.facebook.com/MLWGSfallfestival) and submit it to the kiosk in the Bluestone Lobby no later than Friday, Sept. 20, by 3:30 p.m. Questions? Contact Cara Metz,carametz@me.com or (804) 615-5785.
