Thanks to the support of the entire Maggie Walker community, as well as friends old and new, the 17th annual Fall Festival was a tremendous success! Attendees enjoyed great food, entertainment and weather. Here’s Fall Festival by the numbers:
- More than $15,900 raised for MW student groups
- 57 school clubs, classes and organizations
- 100+ young participants in the new and free Kid Zone
- 130+ adult volunteers
- 20+ student volunteers (not including at the booths)
- Dozens of donated tables, coolers and other tangibles
Congratulations to the Class of 2015, which won the Best Decorated award for their over-the-top display, and the Drama Club, which won the Most Creative award for using costumes to attract patrons.
Many thanks to the business sponsors, which provided cash donations, allowing for clubs to realize greater profits: $500 from PatientFirst and $250 each from State Farm, Finance for Churches, Lewis and Clark Leadership Camps.
