Drama Club Presents Twelfth Night

The MLWGS Drama Club once again brings the Bard to the MLWGS Stage with its Fall 2013 production of William Shakespeare’s comedy Twelfth Night; or, What You Will. The play, which tells the story of two identical twins who are shipwrecked in an unfamiliar country, opens Thursday, Nov. 14, with performances Friday, Nov. 15 and Saturday, Nov. 16 at 7:00pm. Tickets are $8 for students and $10 for adults, and can be bought starting Monday, November 11 in the MLWGS Cafeteria, online here, or at the door. 

The production focuses on the play’s central themes of Love, Sorrow and Music, and makes heavy use of its cast’s musical talents and the play’s musical nature. It is directed by local actor and director Billy-Christopher Maupin, and produced by Drama Club sponsor and local theatre legend Carol Piersol. The drama stars Coly Elhai ('15) in the central role of Viola, with Jack Downey (’15) and Genna Markee (’17) in the lead roles of Duke Orsino and the Countess Olivia. The play also features James Caven (’17), Asha Iyer (’17), Evan Heiter (’16), Sam Martin (’15), Ryan Oppenheim (’14), Naomi Vickers (’17), Cameron Tarry (’14) and John Libby (’16) in supporting roles.

MLWGS parents, students and faculty are invited to attend this Thursday, Friday and Saturday for what promises to be an enthralling Fall Play.
