Scholarships and Summer Enrichment

The Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Seminar Program is offering one slot for a current Sophomore to attend an all-expenses paid seminar in the spring. If interested, please submit a 75–100 word essay describing the most rewarding and challenging aspect of being a leader at MLWGS and community to Ms. Davis. The deadline for submission is Nov. 7.

Virginia Space Coast Scholars is a NASA-based science, engineering, and technology program for current high school Sophomores in Virginia. This FREE program allows students explore opportunities NASA has to offer. Based on course performance, students may receive the opportunity to participate in a seven-day residential Summer Academy at NASA Wallops Flight Facility. Summer Residential Governor’s Schools applications are now available for current Sophomores and Juniors. These programs provide opportunities for gifted high school students to explore professional and university environments through mentorships and academic enrichment.
