The senior seminar course, Relevance Rising, focuses on service learning and volunteering. Throughout the year, the group is raising money and awareness for a community center in Tzunana, Guatemala where they will be traveling during Spring Break this year, working both locally and globally to make a positive impact on communities.
The town of Tzunana on Lake Atlilan is the poorest village in the area. The class goal is to raise $10,000 by the end of March to donate towards the development of a community center and library that will supplement the school and benefit the entire community.
