Freshman Readiness Survey Results Posted

The Access to Teaching and Learning Task Force would like to thank students, parents and faculty for participating in the Freshman Readiness Survey. Participants totaled 269 students, 195 parents and 33 teachers.

Survey respondents were asked to identify areas of need for incoming Freshmen: Study skills, research skills, time management, Algebra I skills, and thesis statement creation were some of the areas most identified as needing support. The task force is using these results to improve Freshman readiness programs at MLWGS.

For more detailed information about the survey results, please contact David Barnes, Science Department, at dbarnes@gsgis.k12.va.us. The task force looks forward to continuing its work next year on issues related to supporting student learning at MLWGS.
