Week of March 25, 2020

As you have heard, the Governor has closed all Virginia K-12 Schools for the remainder of the school year. By his order, Maggie L. Walker Governor’s School will be closed for the remainder of the school year through June 12th, 2020.

AP EXAM UPDATE

1) All AP exams will be administered online this spring (45-minute free response section only) and students can take the exams from home.

2) The content tested will include the instruction that is typically provided by mid-March. Beginning today, March 25, you can attend free, live AP review courses, delivered by AP teachers from across the country as this LINK.

3) Students will have a choice between two testing dates per subject; specifics options will be available April 3.

4) If any student changes their mind about wanting to test, they may cancel their exam(s) WITHOUT the $40 late fee. Students who are thinking of cancelling should wait until after April 3 when the final testing details are available before making a decision. The school will provide a Google form for cancellations at that time, but please keep in mind that issuing refunds will likely be delayed since the school building in is closed to staff as well as students (note: information about how to attach a receipt will be included in the Google form).
