ATHLETIC BOOSTERS MONTHLY MEETING
The Maggie L. Walker Athletic Boosters Club will hold a monthly Board Meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 11, in room 105. Board Officers and Directors are expected to attend. All Athletic Boosters members and anyone interested in becoming involved with Athletic Boosters are welcome to attend. FOUNDATION SCHOOL YEAR KICKOFF
The MLWGS Foundation is seeking to raise $350,000 this year to fund enhancements that help make MLWGS an even better place to teach and to learn. These enhancements stretch across a number of categories, including: classroom enrichment, clubs and activities, class-related travel opportunities, and faculty professional development. One of our most important grant categories is student aid, which provides financial aid for school-related expenses for students in financial need. This includes the use of a Kajeet hotspot device if your student does not have internet access at home. If you think your student could benefit from student aid funding, contact Dr. Wendy Ellis, Associate Director, Curriculum and Instruction.
