*RESCHEDULED* PTSA MEETING
Please join us for our next MLWGS General PTSA meeting, to be held on Tuesday, January 15, at 5:30 p.m. in room 153. This meeting was originally scheduled for December 12, but the snow had other plans. As you may recall, the topic of this meeting will be teen anxiety and stress management. School psychologist Lisa Ebeling will provide information about the many resources for support available through the counseling department at Maggie Walker. She will be joined by Stephanie Violante, a third-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program at VCU. Ms. Violante is also a therapist in the Anxiety Clinic and a behavioral health clinician at the Children's Hospital of Richmond. She will give an overview of anxiety, including signs of anxiety in adolescents, treatment options, and ways in which you can support your student. Both of our speakers will take questions from parents following the presentation. We hope to see you next Tuesday!
It's time for Club Pictures! Here's the info you'll need:
1. All pictures will be taken in the Gym at Lunch. Please be prompt.
2. There will be no club signs in the photos. Club sponsors are encouraged but not required to attend.
3. Each club must gather a minimum of 3 authentic members to be photographed. If your club can’t make its scheduled time slot, come to the gym on one of these days, and the Yearbook staff will squeeze you in.
4. If bad weather cancels a school day, ANY DAYS MISSED WILL BE RESCHEDULED, but UNAFFECTED DAYS WILL NOT BE MOVED. For example, if we are out of school on a Monday, then that day’s clubs will be rescheduled, but the clubs scheduled for Tuesday will KEEP THEIR DATE AND TIMES.
5. Note that some time slots are double-booked. These indicate two separate pictures.
